Academic Results 2018/2019

There were a huge number of success stories within the academic results and children showed excellent progress across the school.

Early Years Foundation Stage

In 2019, 86% of our children achieved a ‘good level of development.’  This is higher than the national average of 72% and the local authority average of 77%.

 

Year 1 Phonics assessment

In 2019, 90% of our children passed the Year 1 phonics assessment.  This was above the national average of 80% and the local authority average of 82%.

 

KS1 SATS assessment

Year 2 children are assessed at maths, writing and reading.

Maths

Working at the expected standard : 80% of children (75% national average, 80% local authority average)

Working at greater depth : 28% of children (25% national average , 30% local authority average)

Writing 

Working at the expected standard : 80% of children (68% national average, 74% local authority average)

Working at greater depth : 21% of children (15% national average, 19% local authority average)

Reading

Working at the expected standard : 80% of children (76% national average, 80% local authority average)

Working at greater depth : 28% of children (25% national average, 30% local authority average)

Reading, Writing and Maths

Working at the expected standard : 76% of children (65% national average , 70% local authority average)

 

KS2 SATs Assessment

Year 6 children are assessed in reading, writing, maths and grammar, punctuation and spelling.

Working at the expected standard : 80% of children (79% national average, 79% local authority average)

Working at greater depth : 22% of children (25% national average , 30% local authority average)

Writing

Working at the expected standard : 86% of children (78% national average, 82% local authority average)

Working at greater depth : 25% of children (20% national average, 24% local authority average)

Reading

Working at the expected standard : 80% of children (73% national average, 74% local authority average)

Working at greater depth : 39% of children (27% national average, 27% local authority average)

Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling

Working at the expected standard : 90% of children (78% national average, 78% local authority average)

Working at greater depth : 47% of children (36% national average, 35% local authority average)

Reading, Writing and Maths

Working at the expected standard : 75% of children (65% national average , 66% local authority average)

Working at greater depth : 10% of children (11% national average , 11% local authority average)

 

Scaled Scores

When completing KS2 SATs at the end of Year 6, all children are given a scaled score to show how they have attained in the assessments.  A score of 100 represents the national standard.

Maths – 106 (105 national average , 105.1 local authority average)

Reading – 105.6 (104 national average , 104.5 local authority average)

Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling – 108.1 (106.3 national average , 105.9 local authority average)
