Welcome to St Chad's

Is your child starting school in Reception in September 2024?  Follow this link to find out about the school tour dates that are on offer at St Chad’s.  We look forward to welcoming you to St Chad’s.
On behalf of the staff, governors and everyone here at St. Chad’s Patchway C.E. V.C. Primary School,

I warmly welcome you and your family to our school.  Our vision of “Learning to love, loving to learn” underpins all we do in St Chad’s.  We understand that life is a learning journey and we strive to support children in every facet of this.

In a densely populated area with many primary schools to choose from, we pride ourselves in being a Church School at the heart of our community.  We welcome children and their families of any denomination or no faith. Together with our families and within our Christian ethos we support, guide, encourage and challenge every child to want to make full use of their gifts and to discover gifts they didn’t know they had.   We are a school where everyone is valued by all and we help our pupils to value everyone else in the school community and beyond.

St. Chad’s is a special place where everyone is dedicated to providing a stimulating, exciting environment in which every individual is respected and safe, challenged to achieve their best, enabling them to develop the skills to become lifelong learners and become the very best they can be.  We define ourselves through our values that underpin all of what we do and you can find out more about this on our “Vision & Values” page.

At St Chad’s we provide a broad, well-structured and engaging curriculum delivered by talented and caring staff. We have high expectations of all our pupils, enabling them to develop self-confidence and independence, recognising that each and everyone has a part to play as a responsible member of our learning community and the world we all create. We put great emphasis on the development of social and emotional skills from which academic, creative and physical development can be built upon.

The environment we provide for this is stimulating and exciting, recognising that education takes place both in the classroom and outside, as well as through a range of learning styles.

Whatever the needs of your child and whatever special interests they have, we aim to ensure your child thrives at St Chad’s, having fun and enjoying success, and this begins from the very first moment they arrive at our school.

Our Vision

We want our children to develop kindness, curiosity and a drive to improve the circumstances of others. We value the achievements of all that attend and like to think forward to the future achievements of our pupils. We trust they will make a real contribution in so many areas of life.

As a school, we set high targets for our children's attendance as we know that regular, consistent attendance makes a huge difference to learning: if children are not in school they miss key parts of their learning.
