New Reception Children 2021

A huge welcome to St Chad’s Patchway C of E Primary School


We are looking very much forward to being able to welcome our new Reception children into our school from September 2021.  This page will constantly be being updated with further information, resources and dates for your diary.   We will strive to ensure that the transition for your child is a smooth one as they begin their learning journey with us at St Chad’s.

New to EYFS 2021 :  Follow the attached letter to find out important transition events taking place for your child before they start school at St Chad’s in September.

Important Dates for September ’21

Monday 6/Tuesday 7 September – The class teachers will host 10 minute 1:1 meetings with each family (a chance to meet the teachers face-to-face, see the classroom and ask any questions). The class teachers will contact you to arrange a time.

Wednesday 8 September – Stay and play in small groups (child only).

Group 1 9.30-10.30, Group 2 11-12 and Group 3 1-2.

Thursday 9 September – Your child will start school either morning or afternoon sessions 9.10 – 11.30 and 1.00 – 3.20.

Week beg 13 September – Your child will be in school either for the morning or afternoon session.

Week beg 20 September – All children will be in school each morning and stay for lunch 9.00 – 1.00.

Week beg 27 September – All children will be in school full time.


Invite to Tapestry and Class Dojo

Please look out for an email invite to Tapestry and Class Dojo so that you can communicate with the class teachers and view examples of work.

You will be given a pack of information at the first Stay and Play in July. We would appreciate it if you could complete the data collection form and hand it back in to school at the picnic later in the term
